This was a fun season finale concert for the whole family! Thank you to all who came out to hear us. It's been an "interesting" year, and your attendance and enthusiasm was just what we needed. The Ukiah Symphony Orchestra plays some of the most recognizable music from your favorite blockbusters: Superman, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, The Lord of the Rings. originally broadcast October 22, 2021 Our season opened with a virtual concert of new voices and orchestral powerhouses reimagined for smaller ensembles. Melinda Martinez-Becker sings Mahler's introspective and emotional early song cycle, “Songs of a Wayfarer”. Program: Nancy Bloomer Deussen - Peninsula Suite Hanna Benn - Where Springs Not Fail Debussy - Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun Gustav Mahler - Songs of a Wayfarer Gustav Mahler - Symphony No. 4, 1st mvt.
